School internship phase 2
Weekend Report
6/7/2022 - 8/7/2022


                          As part of B.Ed curriculum, our second phase of school internship programme was started on 6 th July 2022. Before the internship programme, our faculties have us proper instructions regarding the programme. Principal of KUCTE KULAKKADA, Dr. Renuka Sonny L R mam and our physical science optional teacher Deepthi mam gave instructions for the teaching practice programme. For the internship programme I got Gov VHSS KULAKKADA, the same school I got for the first phase. It was again a chance for me to teach the students of Kulakkada. Teachers of the school was familiar to me. 
                                 On the first day of school internship phase 2, (6/7/2022) , we the nine students from KUCTE KULAKKADA reached GVHSS Kulakkada at 9.30 itself.
Letter from the school had already been given to the school principal by our team leader Ancy achankunju. We met the school incharge Smitha tr, who gave us the maths lab as our room. We marked the attendence and then met our respective teachers. As physical science, I have to meet physics and chemistry teachers for the time table. 
                                  Physics teacher Geetha mam and chemistry teacher sini mam gave the classes for which I have to take the topics. I got ninth standard for both the subjects  physics and chemistry. I have already prepared the lesson plan, the related charts and activities sheets. Since it was Wednesday, I have to take physics for  fifth period for 9 B Students. After taking the sign on the lesson plan from the physics teacher I was ready to go to the class. Since it was my first class on this phase, I was a little bit tensed. I already learned the lesson well. Equations Of Motion was the chapter I have to take for them. First Equation of motion was the topic I prepared for the first class. I went to the class. The strength of the class was 38 and there was no shift as in the previous phase. At first it was difficult to manage the class, but after providing them a comfortable atmosphere, they payed attention. 
                                     As per the lesson plan introduction can be given to them in a better way. They responded actively. Brainstorming had been applied related to motion to check their previous knowledge. Later, through discussion and observation I completed the lesson plan before the end of the class. Inorder to check the learning outcomes I had asked review questions to them and they answered rightly. Students were interested in reading the chart and completing the activity sheets. It was a pleasant atmosphere. I had only one class on that day.  It was a nice experience for me.
                      On second day of second phase, (7/7/2022), I have no classes. But I have to attend  substitution classes. I got 9 F class. Students were so innocent. I gave them a word game related to periodic table. They are already familiar with periodic table and after giving them several clues they easily found out the words. Then we conducted a quiz for them. They were actively involved in the quiz. Students were too active. The second day was a nice experience for me. 
                        The third day of second phasse, (8/7/2022), was a rainy day. Students of this school was so disciplined that they mained queue in each and every place. As the school was in the middle of the city, students and teachers are always careful everytime because of the heavy traffic. Today I have to take two classes. The chemistry class on second period for 9 C students. I had already prepared the lesson plan and the related charts and activitiy sheets for them. Chemical Bonding was the chapter I have to take for them. Electronic stability and chemical bonding was the lesson  I prepared for them. Students had already known about the concept of atom and molecule..so it was easy for me to take the lesson. Activity sheets was completed by groups. Chart was interesting to read for them. The fifth period was physics and Equations Of Motion was the chapter for them. I had already read the lesson plan and prepared for it. It was a nice class. Brainstorming for motion was the key point to note in that class. Students were active and are interested in learning. 
                         In this week I got three periods for taking class and one free period. For the three periods I carefully took the lesson and followed the lesson plan. On the free period I allowed students to play a word game. I think I need to improve more. Try to solve issues in this week. This week gave me  a great experience......
