From August 15 to August 20

On the first day of this week, that is on August 15, the school celebrates the 75 th independence day. There was variety of programs on the school. 

The national tricolour flag was hosted by the head mistress of the school. The flag hosting was followed by independence rally. All the students participated in the rally. Students from various classes dressed in various styles and forms and performed beautifull in the rally. The rally was from school to the nearest junction. 

The rally was followed by variety of programmes conducted by students on the school auditorium. Different patriotic songs, dances, group songs , speech, kadaprasangam, mime, drama etc were the major programmes performed. The highlights of the programme was a mime show performed by 10 th standard students.

After the school programmes, there was payasam prepared by the students and teachers. 

We the teachers trainees distributed the payasam to all the students. That was a wonderful experience for us....

On the second day of this week, that is on August 16, there was normal class. On this day I have to take chemistry class at second period and physics class at fifth period. As the exam was conducted on the next week, we won't get any substitution periods these days. Teaching using audio visual aids serves more effective than teaching through traditional classroom method.

On the third day of this week, that is on August 17, there was school assembly. That was chingam first. 

All the teachers weared Kerala set saree. We too were in Kerala set saree. The assembly was conducted by teachers, NCC CADETS,SPC and JRC students together. On the school assembly, farmers were honoured. The farmers were selected from the Kulakkada panchayath.

 The programme was inaugurated by the school HM vasantha teacher. Students gave speech regarding the importance of celebrating farmers day in school and the importance of agriculture in the present scenario. This reminded the importance of agriculture in the life of students and teachers. 

Afternoon there was a programme conducted by the VHSE students. 

The programme was to give awareness to students regarding violence against women. Students performed Well and the audience gave support to them.

On the fourth day of this week, that is on August 18, due to government holiday, there was no regular class on the school. 

On the fifth day of this week, that is on August 19, there was class. I have two periods to take the lesson. Second period and fifth for the chemistry and physics class respectively. I won't get any substitution periods. On this day , I introduced my innovative work for the chemistry students. It was a drama on the topic ionic bond. Students performed well in the class. 

On the sixth day of this week, that is on August 20, the government has declared working day for the school. So we have to go for the school. The school followed Thursday timetable. As per the timetable I have no periods. But I got two substitution periods for physics and chemistry classes. Students were active and responded interestingly to all the questions. Through out the week i have learned many thinggs from students and teachers of the school. How to conduct a programme,how to make students aware of celebrating a programme and all......this week was so precious for me.
