    WORLD MUSIC DAY


World Music Day 2021 or International Music Day 2021 (also known as Fête de la Musique in French) is being observed  on  21st June. The  Music Day shares its anniversary with the International Yoga Day.The first Music Day celebration took place on the day of the summer solstice in 1982.
The theme of World Music Day 2021 is “Music at the intersections”. This event is also known as  ‘Make Music Day’. It lays stress on the importance of nurturing people's affection for music and sharing music with all without any restrictions.

The first ever music day took place in 1982 in Paris as the Fête de la Musique. The move was proposed by Jack Lang (French politician) and Maurice Fleuret (composer, music journalist, radio producer, arts administrator), two members of the French Minister of Culture.

Jack Lang's requested Maurice Fleuret to become Director of Music and Dance at Minister of Culture, France. Maurice Fleuret applied studies to the musical practice & its evolution (Often known as "the music everywhere and the concert nowhere").


Maurice Fleuret studied cultural habits of the French peoples and learned that one young person out of two, played a musical instrument. He decided to bring out people from their home to the streets and proposed the idea to celebrate summer solstice (or June 21) as the World Music Day.

As Beethoven, the prodigy once said, "Music is like a dream … One that I cannot hear." Stevie Wonder was of the view that, “Music is a world within itself. It’s a language we all understand.”

As part of the world music day KUCTE KULAKKADA had organised a virtual interaction based on world music day.

The webinar was too effective. College Anthem was released during the session. Our you tube channel got 1k subscribers.so much pecularities in one day..our college students sung songs in the programme. Happy music day...

School internship phase 2 Weekend Report 8 From August 22 to August 26 This was the last week of the school internship phase 2. It was a great experience for me. I learnt a lot of things from the school. Firstly I would thank my college teachers for giving me such a school. GVHSS KULAKKADA gave a lot of experience in my teaching practice life. Innovative work last sem

Innovative work I planned a drama for the chemistry class as my innovative work. The concept I selected for the drama was ' ionic bond ' from the chapter ' Chemical bonding '. I clearly prepared the script and as per the script I selected some students from the class 9 C for the characters of the script. The students coperated well. They thoroughly studied the script and sometimes they clarified their doubt. There were 6 characters for the drama. Everyone performed very well. Each has their own role to do. I prepared some aids for the drama performance. They used it properly and carefully. The other students of the class kept quiet during the entire drama programme. School internship phase 2 Weekend Report 7 From August 15 to August 20 This week gave another kind of experience in my teaching practice life. Learning new things from students and teachers from day to life serves a great lesson. From these days I learned how to improve my teaching skills effectively. I have learned how to use the teaching aids properly and all... On the first day of this week, that is on August 15, the school celebrates the 75 th independence day. There was variety of programs on the school.  The national tricolour flag was hosted by the head mistress of the school. The flag hosting was followed by independence rally.
